In 2009, following the report by Scopus (the largest abstract and citation database of research literature), he was introduced as among the 5 preeminent and most influential researchers of Sharif University of Technology.

Outstanding Research Recognition from Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, as one of the most distinguished scientists of Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, 2009.

He was the first to introduce and offer Fuzzy Logic, Soft Computing and Intelligent Control as engineering  courses in universities of Iran. He also conducted the first  National Symposiums in these areas.
